Example of a Consultation
This sampler set is designed for a new cloth pad user who sometimes wears a menstrual cup. Her periods are pretty variable but within the normal range. She is looking for durable, trim, easy to care for pads. It's very important that the pads can go for extended amounts of time between changes, which is why most of the boosters in this set are waterproofed. These pads are meant to fit bikini style underwear for a woman with a medium build.
You can select colors and themes (quirky or vintage style for example) from a list on the order form, and you can see pictures of the fabric before I sew it up, and then more pictures of the finished pads before I send them to you. To get an idea of what I mean by quirky, vintage style or any of the other themes, browse the tags and this gallery. The set featured on this page is a theme I call "bouquet".

Winged Liners
Winged LinersFor menstrual cup backup, you'll want to wear a winged liner. My standard length for this is 7 inches. One end of each liner is longer than the other so you can extend the length to the back or front as needed.
Two Different Fasteners and Wing StylesMost people have a definite preference for wing styles - standard or stretch wing. In your sampler set, you can try both wing styles to see which one you like best. With these liners, you also get to try two different fastening systems - the loop and tab and the tab and button hole.
Reversible StretchieThe stretch wing liner can be flipped and fastened "inside out" so that the flat cotton side can be on top if you find that you prefer it to flannel.
Flat Cotton Topped LinerIf your cup rarely leaks and doesn't leak much at a time, I recommend a standard boostable liner with a flat cotton top and organic cotton fleece core.
Stretch Wing Liner with Flannel TopIf your cup leaks frequently, you might be more comfortable with a flannel top instead of flat cotton.
Boostable Light PadIf you're worried about bigger leaks or overflows with your cup, you could use a boostable light pad for backup. It has a layer of hemp jersey for extra absorbency under the cotton fleece core and a flannel back.
All of these liners will double as parts of your multi-part pads described below.
All-in-One Pad
All-In-One PadFor times when you don't wear your cup, you'll probably reach for this pad most often. At 8 1/2 inches, with cotton terry and hemp jersey absorbent layers and synthetic fleece backing for water resistance, it's suitable for light to medium flow.
Multi-Part Pads
Boosters and BoostablesTwo-part pads are made up of a thin layer of waterproofing or extra absorbency underneath one of the liners described above. You can combine any boostable liner with any booster. Lay the booster into your underwear, then place the liner on top and wrap the wings around both the booster and your underwear. You can position the absorbency where you need it by turning the longer end to the back or the front.
Boostable Light Pad and Contoured Absorbent BoosterThis is a contoured water resistant booster underneath a boostable liner. The booster is made of three layers of flannel with PUL inside.
Liner and Bow Tie If you need more area coverage - this could be for night time or because your flow is heavier, you're particularly active, or you're wearing baggy underwear - you can use the larger bow tie shaped booster. This booster has a flat cotton top, soft structure Tyvek inside, and flannel back. Soft structure Tyvek is a new material that's much softer than what they wrap around houses - it's actually thinner than PUL and more breathable but works more like synthetic fleece on a small scale.
Bow Tie with Flannel Side UpYou can reverse the bow tie and wear it with the flannel side up if you like.
Adding Absorbency
Heavy Flow PadThe absorbent booster can be sandwiched in the middle of a two-part pad to turn it into a three-part pad. This is the heaviest pad possible with your sampler set.
Absorbent PadIf you find that you can get away without waterproofing at times, you can build an extra absorbent two-part pad.
