Standard Variety Sampler Set
This sampler set is made up of the most popular sizes, shapes and materials available from Amy's Rag Bag. It's a great starting point if you're new to cloth pads and your period is pretty average.
Your pads won't look exactly like the ones pictured here. You can select colors and themes (quirky or vintage style for example) from a list on the order form, and you can see pictures of the fabric before I sew it up, and then more pictures of the finished pads before I send them to you. To get an idea of what I mean by quirky, vintage style or any of the other themes, browse the tags and this gallery. The set featured here is a mix-and-match of bright and primary colors.
Please click on any of the images for a closer view and/or for more detailed info.
These eight pieces can be combined to make a lot of different pads. Most of the time, you'll want to combine a boostable winged piece with a booster.
You can combine any boostable with any booster. You can use any of the pieces alone as a liner as well - winged or wingless.
On your heaviest days, you may want to use an absorbent booster and a water resistant booster together under your liner.
The biggest, heaviest pad you can make with this set is on the far right in the picture above. It's a stack of three pieces - a boostable light pad, a standard absorbent booster, and a bow tie shaped water resistant booster. The bow tie shaped piece has a layer of PUL - a waterproofing fabric commonly used in cloth diapers.
Just to the left is the most popular combination for a medium flow pad. The backing is a layer of water resistant and breathable synthetic fleece.
More combinations are below.
